The Cardiff Millennium could use artificial turf

The great temple of Welsh rugby could take an artificial turf surface, since in this way reduce the high cost of maintaining it currently has.

The Welsh Rugby Union is considering that the Millennium Stadium start using an artificial surface. Roger Lewis, President of this organization, said that the change would "reduce the high cost of current lawn maintenance, which is very difficult to keep in good condition."

The CEO of the WRU said an artificial field "is being seriously considered," adding that the only concern happens to know if the new lawn would be able to withstand the musicals, often held in the stadium. "They use some very large trucks for their teams. We should be convinced that the new surface can withstand "said Lewis.
