This was the worst part of the trip, as the rains had left the road full of puddles and mud. It was quite an ordeal trying to overcome them and put the foot to the ankle in a quagmire. At the end of the tour ended at the top of mud.

After a painful march through the mud got to civilization north of Aramits. This town is known for being the birthplace of Henri d'Aramitz, Aramis famous "The Three Musketeers". In fact, the trail passed near his house next to the church of Aramits.
