Synthetic surface “artificial turf”

Synthetic surface “artificial turf” is used as a substitute for natural grass in the regions (climate zones), where there are no conditions for photosynthesis herbs selection of sports or in heavy use. Artificial turf is designed for soccer fields, fields for rugby, golf, field hockey, tennis courts, multi-purpose sports fields, etc. There are universal artificial turf for soccer, which are used for multiple sports.

The first mention of artificial grass relates to 1965 in Houston (Texas), the research team led by David Chaney – the dean of the University of the State of Textiles of North Carolina created the first man-made carpet called “Astroturf.” Already in 1970, the artificial grass is widely used in football and baseball venues USA and Canada.

The main developer and manufacturer of artificial grass are companies that produce carpeting. This is because the carpet weaving technology and artificial grass largely similar. Thus, the first prototype was a carpet of artificial grass.

Cover “artificial grass” is used as a design element football field, which consists of three main components: the material is “artificial grass”, mounting materials, consumables.

1) Material “artificial turf”: – a roll of carpet, made by tufting, using polyethylene filaments attached to the carcass tissue.
2) Mounting materials (depending on the installation method): a) bonding: adhesive seam tape. b) cross-linking: synthetic yarn, glue, tape seam.
3) Supplies (to maintain the necessary characteristics of a football field game) – filler (composed of quartz sand and granules). In operation, the filler is consumed by the natural (imposed by rainwater drainage openings during cleaning snow sports shoe on, etc.). To ensure the playing characteristics football field is required to maintain the necessary level of filler, due to which one of the conditions is regular monitoring and making lost filler in the goalkeeper area and 11 meter mark – on a monthly basis, in other areas every 3 months.
